The tournament, which will serve as the qualifiers for the 2015 All-Africa Games and Olympic qualifiers, will feature four other countries – Ghana, Morocco, Ivory Coast, and Mali – and hosts, Togo.
The team, which will be coached by South African 7s Rugby legend, Fabian Juries, consists players from the local and international scenes.
Technical Director of the federation, Olatunji Fasimoye, said the goal of the team was to qualify for both competitions.
“The team features eight changes from the side that went to the Africa Cup 7s in Zimbabwe last year, with the inclusion of three overseas-based players.
“In this Black Stallions squad, we have an extremely talented group of players with the right mix of experience and youth.
“We are looking forward to seeing what the team can produce in Togo. The overseas-based players will make a big difference.
“Dajuma Msheila has blistering pace and will be vital to the team, Ike Onwukanjo will bring something new to the squad as well and Temi Okenla is an experienced playmaker.
“We will also not lack pace at all as we still have our wing man, Christian Ogar, and Isaac Sani will bring in his power play into the squad.”
