Super Eagles To Play Spotlight FC Today, Foreign-Based Eagles Given A Week Off


The Home-based players of the Super Eagles of Nigeria as reported before by Gidi Sports are to play a friendly match in Katsina state to open the brand new Karkanda stadium.
It has now been confirmed that the local based Eagles will slug it out against NNL side, Spotlight FC.

Meanwhile, the invited foreign-based players of the Super Eagles for the 2017 AFCON qualifier match with Chad have been given a week break to rest after the European season have now come to an end (or about to end for some countries and UEFA competitions).
Most of the overseas Eagles are yet to arrive in Nigeria but all players are expected to report to camp on June 2.
The home-based Eagles will return to Abuja after the friendly match with Spotlight FC in Katsina before making way to Kaduna where the AFCON qualifier against Chad will be played.
