The set of matches for the 4th week of footballing
actions of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) 2014/2015 season
have been suspended by the League Management Company (LMC).
Matches to be played on 4th and 5th
April, 2015 have now been shifted to April 19 due to the general elections to be
held on April 11 and FA Cup final matches to be played at state level.
"Match Day 4 fixtures of the Glo Premier League
scheduled for this weekend has been postponed to Sunday, April 19," a
statement on the LMC website says.
The suspension also gives room for Nigerian clubs on continental
duty to represent the country without having a one-match outstanding dent in
their line of fixtures as they resume Champions League and Confed Cup matches
this weekend.
Kano Pillars and Enyimba will both face Moghreb Tetouan of
Morocco and Smouha of Egypt respectively in the CAF Champions League, while
Warri Wolves trade tackles with Dedebit of Ethiopia on Sunday.
