Nigeria's U20 male football team, the Flying Eagles will
have a third time within weeks to define their supremacy over Ghana's U20 when
both countries meet in the Africa Youth Championship (AYC) semifinal on
Wednesday, 18 March 2015 at the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium in Dakar.
Nigeria alongside Senegal, Mali and Ghana have all qualified
to represent Africa at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand in June.
Having qualified for the semifinal, the Manu Garba tutored
team will hope to overcome Ghana who they recorded a draw and a win against
during their build up to the AYC, Nigeria top Group A and are scheduled to face
Ghana who were runners up in Group B while Mali who top Group B will take on
Senegal the runners up in Group A on Thursday, 19 March 2015 also at the
Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium in Dakar.
The climax of the tournament that started in Senegal on
March 8,2015 will be on Sunday, 22 March 2015 at the Leopold Sedar Senghor
Stadium when the finalist meet to challenge to be the AYC champions of the 19th
edition of the biennial championship.
The first semifinal between the Flying Eagles and Ghana is
scheduled for Wednesday, 19 March while host, Senegal and Mali play in the
second semifinal scheduled for Thursday, March 19, 2015.
